- Focus’ human centric interior includes as standard SYNC® 3 with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Autoi, in-built voice-activated sat-nav, a segment-first 180-degree reversing camera, plus space saving electronic park-brake

The all-new Ford Focus will be on sale in New Zealand from February 2019, offering enhanced specification and designed from a clean sheet of paper. The all-new Ford Focus ushers in a new era for technology, comfort, space and driving experience for New Zealand customers.
With fresh trim levels, the all-new Focus reflects the dynamic nature of the New Zealand market with models tailored to more specific customer tastes, demands and expected features. In addition, the all-new Focus delivers a smart new style, elegant yet functional cabin and high levels of craftsmanship on every model.
“It has been two decades since the first Ford Focus was introduced globally, and in that time it has become one of the best-selling nameplates in the world,” said Ford New Zealand General Marketing Manager, Cameron Thomas. “Focus brought new benchmarks in style and dynamics for small cars, and that spirit has been the basis of the all-new Focus, of which we’re immensely proud.”
The all-new Focus is built on a sophisticated new platform, code-named C2, delivering a 20 per cent increase in torsional rigidity to enhance driving dynamics and passenger comfort. In addition, Focus will offer selectable drive modes across the series line-up for the first time.
Driver Assistance Technology includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Night-time Pedestrian Detection and Cyclist Detection, as well as Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Aid as standard across the range. Focus’ extensive DAT suite also features Post-Impact Braking (PIB), which is designed to automatically apply the brakes after a collision to reduce the risk of rolling onto another vehicle, preventing a second collision.
Focus’s standard safety suite includes driver and passenger front airbags, side airbags as well as curtain airbags on all New Zealand models, in addition to convenience technology including a segment-first Rear wide-view camera, which offers a near-180 degree view to the rear of the vehicle for improved visibility when reversing from parking spaces or driveways.
The all-new Focus will be on sale in February 2019 with a choice of three model grades at launch, sourced exclusively from Germany. Kicking off with the volume-selling Trend, and headlined by the flagship Titanium, the all-new Focus brings New Zealanders an ST-Line Focus to the line-up for the first time. This exciting new addition will be offered in five-door hatch to deliver a sporting model that reflects an athletic lifestyle.
At launch, the all-new Focus includes a new, highly advanced 1.5L EcoBoost three-cylinder engine producing 134kW/240Nm in 5 door hatch and a 2.0L diesel engine producing 110kW/370Nm in 4 door wagon all matched to an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The All-new Ford Focus line-up Focus Trend Hatch and Wagon
Standard equipment on Focus Trend includes 16-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps, while the eight-speed paddle shift automatic also introduces the smartly designed e-shifter which, along with the new electronic park brake, liberates space for smartphones and other items and enables a less cluttered centre console design.
SYNC® 3 is standard on Focus on all three trim levels, with a full-colour 8.0-inch touchscreen, in-built voice-activated sat-nav with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. SYNC® 3 also brings voice-activation to features including the standard climate control, for even easier access and convenience.
Focus ST-Line Hatch
The Focus ST-Line replaces the existing Focus Sport model with a more distinctive identity inside and out. Focus ST-Line is distinguished by its unique honeycomb grille, side skirts and rear bumper capped with a chrome finished twin tail-pipe. The hatch includes an integrated boot-lid spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Focus ST-Line also comes standard with its own sports suspension tune for increased driver enjoyment.
Inside, a unique ST-Line flat-bottom sports steering wheel features red-stitching, which extends to the gear-lever boot and ST-Line cloth trim. The ST-Line cabin also features metallic foot pedals.
Focus ST-Line also brings BLIS with Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard. Focus ST-Line also features Stop & Go Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Evasive Steer Assist and Lane-Centering as standard. The ACC system helps the Focus maintain a comfortable driving distance from vehicles ahead, and with the addition of Stop & Go, has the ability to bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
Building on Focus’ SYNC® 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility on all models.
Ford Focus Titanium
Distinguished by a unique front grille and body styling with 18-inch alloy wheels, the highly-equipped Titanium brings an unprecedented level of technology and innovation including heads up display and panoramic roof to the all-new Focus.
Full pricing and further specifications for the all-new Ford Focus will be announced ahead of its February 2019 launch.
